Description
From the same gravel terroir as the benchmark classified growth of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the second wine of Smith Haut Lafitte is vinified in the estate’s beautiful underground cellar. Precision and rigour characterise the work around this nectar, whose 2016 vintage displays a purple robe studded with reflections. On the nose, notes of vanilla and roasted aromas of ripe fruit emerge. After a supple attack, this wine unfolds on a round and balanced palate. This vintage, which has all the makings of a great wine, finishes with a beautiful freshness where the tannins shine through.
