Description
Every year since 1943, Krug has crafted champagnes that express the full character of the vintage. The year 2006 was marked by intense heat, which resulted in very rich and concentrated grapes. This blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier displays a golden hue with fine, slow-rising bubbles. The nose is an explosion of yellow fruits, dried fruits, toasted almonds, and hazelnuts, with nuances of meringue and mandarin liqueur on the second nose. This brut champagne is full and deep on the palate, underscored by pastry notes and a citrus finish.
