Description
Bénédictine liqueur is named in honour of Benedictine monks and their motto: Deo Optimo Maximo â âTo God, most good, most greatâ. The recipe includes 27 plants and spices, which are infused in alcohol and then distilled. The result, known as a âspiritâ, is then aged in oak barrels and coloured with saffron. Melissa, juniper, and angelica are the most striking aromas.
