Description
This red wine is the emblematic cuvée of the Hostens-Picant castle. This assembly of Merlot and Cabernet Franc comes from vines aged 15 to 20 growing on a clay-limestone terroir. Vinification in stainless steel tanks precedes a barrel breeding for 10 to 12 months. Her purple red dress is adorned with brilliant reflections. The bouquet of blackcurrants and wild blackberries gives way to a second intense nose of liquorice, iris and black pepper. The frank and juicy attack on the palate is accompanied by a refined tannic frame and chalky tannins in the final. A bordeaux coast to taste on red meat or a livarot.
