Description
Located on the Grand Vins route which runs along the Gironde estuary, the Château du Glana extends over 59 hectares of vines in Saint-Julien appellation. This 2016 vintage is an assembly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vinified in a traditional way. The plot vinification is made of concrete and metallic tanks for three weeks. Breeding then took place in barrels for twelve months, with 40 % of new barrels. Result: a wine with a purple garnet dress delivering aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and black berries, all punctuated by tobacco and menthol notes. At the palace, firm tannins are accompanied by a good lamb’s lettuce and a fruity middle of mouth. Enjoy this Saint-Julien on a dish of red or white meat, or keep it in the cellar for a few years.
