Description
This Cru Bourgeois, among the most emblematic of the Médoc, championed in its early days by the poets Lord Byron and Baudelaire, to whom it owes its name, rivals the great classified growths, its neighbours, in more favourable years. And it is precisely because it was created a few years after the 1855 classification that Château Chasse-Spleen is not included. Always consistent, the estate offers a truly remarkable wine in 2009. An expression of a terroir of gravel and clay soil, this Moulis-en-Médoc is distinguished by harmonious tannins, an intense ruby colour and deep aromas of ripe fruit.
